Life Governors are benefactors of the Home who have contributed above a certain level over a period of five years. Throughout the Montefiore Home’s history, Life Governors have played an integral and active role in assisting successive Boards of Management to realise their strategic objectives in providing the best possible care and facilities for Sydney’s Jewish aged community, regardless of their financial circumstances.
The Home’s Life Governor program not only recognises the generosity of its benefactors, it also ensures that Life Governors have access to the Home’s Board & Management through regular briefings and are privy to future planning and decision-making. In addition, there are special Life Governors' events such as Annual Shabbatot and Gala Functions.
All Life Governors’ donations are tax deductible and each specific tier may be paid within a five year period.

The names of all Life Governors are entered on dedicated honour boards in the Heritage Gallery on the Home’s Hal Goldstein Campus at Hunters Hill and its Randwick Campus.
