Community Service Programs

We run a comprehensive Community Service Program for high school students in Year 10 and above as well as a program for Bar/Batmitzvah students. These students visit the Home and work with our residents over an agreed period and are supervised by our experienced staff at all times. Basic training is given to students as well as an understanding of some issues relating to aged Residents in care.

Students undergoing the Duke of Edinburgh Award are most welcome to complete their service hours at Montefiore. Bar/Batmitzvah-aged children are offered education as part of their Jewish studies and attend the Home accompanied by their Rabbis and teachers.
